Costumes for Care: Bringing Halloween Joy to Paulding County's Foster Care System
Every Child Deserves a Little Halloween Magic
Halloween is more than just a night of candy - it’s a chance for kids to step into a world of pure imagination, build confidence, and just be kids. For children in foster care, who often face immense transition and uncertainty, having a high quality costume to call their own means the world. It gives them a sense of belonging, a reason to smile, and memories that last a lifetime. That’s why we are so incredibly passionate about this mission; we believe every child deserves the chance to experience the magic of childhood.
About Us: Costumes for Care was proudly created, and is fully organized and run, by the Paulding Social Services Committee. Our dedication to supporting local families drives everything we do, ensuring that our community's most vulnerable children are never left out of the fun.
How It Works: Throughout the year, we collect donations of brand-new and gently used Halloween costumes, masks, and accessories. Then, ahead of the big night, we transform our space into an annual Halloween Costume "Boo-Tique." Here, children in foster care get the full, exciting experience of "shopping" for their perfect look—completely free of charge.
Together, we can make sure every child in our community gets to celebrate in style!
